Pedro Oliva saving in mixed ice and rock the key step access to the Punta de las Olas. From above, Julio Benede secured with a sling you brought for the occasion. Thanks Julio!

Taking advantage of this aniciciclón, we take us two days in the 2nd week of February to finally visit the National Park Ordesa y Monte Perdido, which has an ideal snowmaking South after snowfall this season yet has so little snow at lower altitudes.
am from Zaragoza and marched to Nerín to exit from the slopes skiing at Cuello Arenas. Day
clean. Level with the tables and got into the back of Sierra Custody. We do not know where to look, because everywhere flip: The cut Añisclo the SE, SW Ordesa canyon, three Serols north ... What high level paisajísistico!
advantage that we are in the eastern part of the park and that night we slept in the ref Góriz, after declining to sup coll to put skins and throw Góriz to the Punta de las Olas, the easternmost three thousand of the park.
We know there is a step in the rock band that protects the circus between the Soum de Ramond and Punta de las Olas. We think it will only ease dry rock climb but, alas gentlemen, that is a mixture of ice and rock live with 3 feet of climbing! Now what?
Then in July out of the hat a string of 13 metritos, enough so that, after rising to Igor and his hair (the one who knows you know), we can secure an advantage Mallon on a nail is placed at the output of the step. What bieenn!
So, one by one, we spent the large loop that Julius does, under the legs and up without fear, nailing the ice ax and crampons tips on rock and ice. Good practice of joint, but without real fire (ha ha).
Once the pass, we return with skins and skis heading north to the highlands into Soum de Ramond and Punta de las Olas. Up there faces north and the plains are alive on ice, so we ski and climb easily walk to the Punta de las Olas, our first three thousand of these two days. Pineta valley is beautiful. We wanted to go after the Soum de Ramond or even Lost and down the Góriz normal. But the north faces have an ice crystal that scares anyone.
So, we got quietly down his face Baudrimont south to the SE (or Pico Rabada and Navarro), by foot and has a beautiful view on the Balcon de Pineta.
We see that in February, at 16:15 hours, the cylinder cover with its shadow Tucarroya ref, so we learn the lesson: do not go to sleep Tucarroya in February. At least from March to enjoy the afternoon sun at the shelter. Ummm ...
We again descended on skis and skiing to step into the band, which rappelling smoothly. Course to continue skiing for Góriz sup coll, with a dreamy sunset lights. It's after 5 and the sun is a magical tone. From the pass we'll drop in a smooth diagonal until Góriz shelter that arrive before 6 pm. There we Refa and Chelis and Pilti guards and Luis.
Together enjoy a dinner that night of brotherhood. NEXT day we face a bunch of three thousand and if we can, culminating in the Perdido. Let's see what happens.
What a day so complete, what Rebuffat: Ice, snow and rock! We go to sleep. Shhsssss ... Jorge
